Difference Between “total disability” and “partial disability” §418.301(7) and (8)
- Total disability is defined as:
- When an employee is unable to earn wages in any job paying maximum wages in work suitable to the employee’s qualifications and training.
- Partial disability is defined as:
- If the employee retains a wage earning capacity at a pay level less than employee’s maximum wages in work suitable to the employee’s qualifications and training.
